Hi, I’m Kate — the artist behind Pencil and Paw.

I studied graphic design at the Design Centre in Enmore, NSW and spent over 20 years working in television, creating graphics for Channel Seven’s Sunrise show.

 

Even though design became my career, drawing was my first love. As a child I would spend hours sketching, but as life grew busier, my pencils were set aside for a while.

Now living in beautiful Currumbin on the

Gold Coast, I finally have the time and space

to return to illustration. Today, I create hand-drawn graphite portraits that capture the unique personality, softness, and spirit of beloved pets.

 

I’m currently taking commissions and feel incredibly lucky to turn heartfelt moments

into timeless keepsakes – one pencil stroke

at a time.
